Errol was a Director of the Board for over 25 years who dedicated his time and his talents to the Association.
During his 25 years on the Board he was the Chairman of the Downtown Beer Gardens and the 3-Mile Long Parade. After he resigned from the Board he volunteered as the Ponoka Stampede Secretary/Treasurer. There wasn’t a penny Errol missed; he was always “right on the money”.
Behind the scenes of the Ponoka Stampede, Errol devoted countless hours of planning, designing and building to the Association, he was an architect by trade and is the visionary and engineer behind the construction of the Ponoka Stampede Rodeo Office and the Stagecoach Saloon. Errol was also a Member of the Ponoka Town Council and ran for the Mayor of Ponoka.
Friends of Errol always knew it was ‘Ponoka Stampede’ time when Errol had his hat, boots and spurs on and his horse trailer was hooked up to his car. Thank you Errol for all the years of dedication and devotion to the Ponoka Stampede, you have set the bar high.
