Celebrate the 87th Ponoka Stampede June 26 - July 2, 2023.
How much is admission to the Ponoka Stampede?
Admission to the grounds is FREE, however all shows are ticketed
Rodeo and Chuckwagon tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or by telephone Ponoka Stampede Ticket Office Ticket Office Hotline 403-783-0100 and on-grounds (while quantities last).
All day midway armbands can be purchased before June 25th at Hamilton's IGA in Ponoka for $30+GST or on site at the West Coast Amusements midway ticket booths for $40+GST.
What are the hours of Ponoka Stampede?
June 27- ground open at 5:30pm
The rest of the days, the grounds open at noon.
How much is parking at the Ponoka Stampede?
Parking is FREE in all areas for vehicles. Parking is available across from the Stampede grounds at the Arena Complex, beside the St Augustine School and day parking is also available south of the Tunnel entrance beside the racetrack.
Does my afternoon rodeo performance ticket get me into the evening Chuckwagon Races?
No, afternoon and evening performances are ticketed separately.

Is outside food and drinks permitted into the Ponoka Stampede grounds?
Outside food and drinks are confined to their campsite or vehicles in day parking lot only. No food/drinks or coolers allowed into midway, grandstand or tarmac areas.
Is there a smoking policy at the Ponoka Stampede?
Yes, NO SMOKING in the grandstands, and tarmac areas. Designated smoking area is outside the Stagecoach Saloon alongside the racetrack. Ponoka Stampede follows all the provincial legislation under the Tobacco Reduction Act. No smoking allowed in the luxury suites/ president boxes, outside seating area or on the concourse behind the suites and boxes.
Does the Ponoka Stampede rent scooters, wheelchairs or strollers on the Stampede Grounds?
No rentals are available on the Stampede Grounds.
Where is First Aid located on the Ponoka Stampede Grounds?
First Aid is located under the Main Grandstand beside the Longscore Saloon.
Where is Lost and Found and Lost Kids located?
Lost and Found and Lost Kids is located at the little Log Cabin "Ponoka County East District Fire" below the Main Grandstand by the Ponoka Stampede Ticket Booth.
What if it rains? Are my midway, rodeo, chuckwagon and concert tickets refundable?
The Ponoka Stampede operates rain or shine all of the tickets are non-refundable.
Is there ATM's on the Ponoka Stampede Grounds?
Yes, several ATM's are located around the Stampede Grounds. There is one located in the Stagecoach Saloon, and another between the Stagecoach Saloon and the east end of the Main Grandstand. The Westcoast Amusements Midway also has ATM's on the Midway.
Is the Ponoka Stampede handicap accessible?
Yes, the Main Grandstand is fully handicapped accessible.
Are pets permitted on the Stampede Grounds?
Pets are permitted on the grounds but not allowed in the Grandstand areas. Certified service dogs have full access to the Grandstand area.

How much are the midway ride tickets?
All day midway armbands are available for purchase until June 26th at Hamilton's IGA in Ponoka. Save by purchasing your all day ride armband in advance at Hamilton's IGA for $30 + GST. Armbands will be available for purchase on-site during the Ponoka Stampede for $40 + GST. Single coupons are $1 each and each ride takes 2-6 coupons each. Do the midway ride have height requirements?
Yes, every ride has a posted height requirement that each rider must meet. See complete ride list here.

We reserve the right to conduct a reasonable search of all packages, purses, backpacks and bags prior to your entry of the Ponoka Stampede. Refusal to submit to such a search may result in your entry to the Ponoka Stampede being denied.
